The Prayer That’ll Help You Be The Proverbs 31 Woman

To listen to the blog post “The Prayer That’ll Help You Be The Proverbs 31 Woman” over reading it click the play button down below.

Here is a Proverbs 31 prayer directly from Proverbs 31 that’ll teach you to become the Proverbs 31 woman. Of course, it is not going to be the entire chapter because that would be doing way too much. But this is specific to the women, the part of Proverb 31 woman that is known as the virtuous woman. The main reason why you want to turn this into a prayer is because prayer is the best way to communicate to God and to also bring transformation in your life. The Bible specifically says:

Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24

If you read my blog or even if you have watched videos on my YouTube channel then you should know that I always say that a Proverbs 31 woman is the type of woman that everyone should aspire to be. You can watch my video below for more on the Proverbs 31 women.

But also check out the following Bible verses so that you can read exactly who the Proverbs 31 woman is.

Of course, I am going to transform it into a Proverbs 31 prayer but I need to break the Bible verse down bit by bit for you so that you can fully understand who you are praying to become. There is no point in praying for God to transform you into a certain type of woman that you are not prepared to be or you have no understanding of.

1. Becoming Proverbs 31 Woman  Who Is Worth More Than Rubies?

The following verses are of the amplified version of the Bible just because I feel that the amplified Bible gives a deeper meaning to the Bible. I have the following amplified Bible which you can click here to buy, and I feel that it does me well when it comes to understanding scripture. So, let’s get into understanding who in the world this woman is and why you want to pray to be more like her.

An excellent woman [one who is spiritual, capable, intelligent, and virtuous], who is he who can find her? Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies or pearls. Proverbs 31: 10

Did you know that rubies are rarer than diamonds? With pearls, one has to dig way deep down in the ocean and pry open an oyster to find.  That means she is one of a kind, not easy to get, valuable, rare, and one is very lucky to find and have.

She is not a common basic everyday woman.  She does not want to be like everyone else. God did not make her like everyone else. Also check out my video below if you are single and I talk about what to do if you are single and how to actively wait, where I go into this topic in more detail. Never should you seek to just fit in, but a real Proverbs 31 woman stands out.

2. The Proverbs 31 Woman Is A Good Wife & Girlfriend

The heart of her husband trusts in her [with secure confidence], Proverbs 31:11

And he will have no lack of gain. She comforts, encourages, and does him only good and not evil. All the days of her life. She is trusting, not a liar, cheater, she does not flirt with other men. She does not do things to intentionally anger her husband or her man such as flirt with another men in front of his face or even behind his back.  Her man should trust her unconditionally because that is the type of woman she is.

3. The Proverbs 31 Woman Is A Business Woman

She looks for wool and flax. And works with willing hands in delight. She is like the merchant ships [abounding with treasure]; She brings her [household’s] food from far away. She rises also while it is still night and gives food to her household and assigns tasks to her maids. She considers a field before she buys or accepts it [expanding her business prudently].

With her profits, she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard. She equips herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task]. And makes her arms strong. She sees that her gain is good; Her lamp does not go out, but it burns continually through the night [she is prepared for whatever lies ahead]. She stretches out her hands to the distaff. And her hands hold the spindle [as she spins wool into thread for clothing].

She opens and extends her hand to the poor. And she reaches out her filled hands to the needy. She does not fear the snow for her household. For all in her household are clothed in [expensive] scarlet [wool]. She makes for herself. Proverbs 31:13-27

All this realls means is. She may be a businesswoman, she is always a hard worker, she may be a career woman, and even if she is a housewife, she is still a good one. She is never stagnant, and she is always improving. She does not call herself a housewife while she just sits on the couch all day and does nothing. Whatever her role is as a woman she does a good job at it, she takes care of herself both spiritually, mentally, and physically. She makes wise investments in her household and does not go out and spends all of her money on material gains while she struggles to pay her bills.

4. The Proverbs 31 Woman ~ Is Smart With Her Money

Before she even buys something, she determines if it is a good investment and does not feel the need to spend a lot of money on something just because everyone else does.  She is prepared at whatever life throws her way and she is not weak. If something bad happens then she knows how to get threw it, she does not just throw her hangs up in fear and freaks out because she does not know how to do anything for herself and depends on other people to do it for her. She knows how to run her own life and her household.

She is kind to others, and she is not the type of person that when winter comes around she does not have any coats for her children and sends them out in the cold unprepared or in shorts. Or that she allowed her heat to be turned off in the summer because she felt she did not need and now winter has come, and she still cannot afford heat and now everyone is freezing.  Also check out my video down below for more on the Proverbs 31 woman.

5. A Proverbs 31 Woman Is Equally Yoked With A Good Man

Her husband is known in the [city’s] gates. When he sits among the elders of the land. She makes [fine] linen garments and sells them. And supplies sashes to the merchants. Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure.

And she smiles at the future [knowing that she and her family are prepared]. She opens her mouth in [skillful and godly] wisdom. And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue [giving counsel and instruction]. She looks well to how things go in her household. And does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired). Her husband also, and he praises her, saying. “Many daughters have done nobly, and well [with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness]. But you excel them all. Charm and grace are deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain.

But a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised. Give her of the product of her hands. And let her own works praise her in the gates [of the city]. Proverbs 31:13-27

Now let’s talk about her man. She understands that she deserves a good one. Not one that is lazy, disrespectful and one that she must take care of. She has one that respects her because she has become the type of woman that is equally yoked to the type of man that he is.

He does not need to stand over her to make sure she can take care of the household he knows she can do it. He trusts her because he knows that he can go to work and that she can handle whatever comes up without having to turn to him for every little thing.

And she knows how to speak with intelligence. She speaks with wisdom and she is about something. She is kind and she has her own opinion. Her husband and other people like her because she actually has something to talk about. She is not lazy; she teaches her children the same lessons that she teaches herself and when they view her they respect her and not run all over her. Yes, she may be beautiful on the outside but that is not all she is. Because she understands that beauty is only skin deep and will fade over time as she gets older. Her real beauty comes from within and who she is as a person.

6. Now let’s get into the Proverbs 31 prayer

I know you may be thinking that this woman seems like superwoman, but I assure you that if you watch my level up video below you will see the hot mess I was and how I leveled up over time.

So do not get intimidated thinking change has to happen all at once. You may have some of these characteristics, most of them, or none of them. But as you say this prayer over time if you really mean it you will improve. The Proverbs 31 prayer is not going to be some monologue, it is going to be short and straight to the point covering all the aspects I have explained to you above which is why I went over them. It is meant to be said, time and time again over time. Prayers do not have to be insanely long for God to get the picture. Just like the Bible says:

And when you pray, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Matthew 6:7

So, we do not need to go out and spit out a dissertation here okay. So here we go.

7. The Proverbs 31 Prayer ~ Becoming The Proverbs 31 Woman

The Proverbs 31 Prayer ~ Becoming The Proverbs 31 Woman

Dear Lord

I pray that you transform me into the woman that You want me to be with the ability to use my own unique sets of gifts and talents in whatever capacity You called me to use them.

I pray that I am skillful, wise, kind to others and capable. I pray for daily direction on how I can manage and improve my life, my finances, and my household.

I pray to be found by a husband that is a provider and is respected by the community and that both he and my children look up to me in admiration and adoration. I pray that I can handle whatever life throws my way and that I do not fear because You, Lord God, are on my side. I know that I am all together lovely, both the inside and out, and I pray that I can project that beauty to the outside world.

In Jesus name I pray

Amen

That is the Proverbs 31 prayer, easy right? You can make a habit of saying it daily, monthly, weekly AND you can also feel free to add or take away whatever you need to. Because God has a plan to transform each and every one of us women to the woman, He wants us to be and that can be unique for each of you.
